LGBTQ Group & Sound Tigers Team-up to Fight Homophobia in Sports
Located in Norwalk, Triangle Community Center (TCC) is an LGBTQ Community Center serving all of Fairfield County. The "You Can Play Day" event has an expected attendance of over 6,000 people.

Triangle Community Center (TCC)Β will teamΒ up with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, theΒ "You Can Play Project" and othersΒ to fight homophobia in sports this March.
The purpose of theΒ You Can Play DayΒ event is to promote equality, respect and safety for all athletes, regardless of sexual orientation.

You Can Play Day will take place on March 2, 2014Β at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, home of the Sound Tigers, and will include a panel discussion with LGBT athletes, a special You Can Play Bridgeport Sound Tigers game against the Utica Comets, and post-game play by the NYC Gay Menβs Hockey League.Β
All proceeds from the event benefit the ongoing missions of the You Can Play Project and the Triangle Community Center, an LGBTQ Community Center serving all of Fairfield County. Β

The event has an expected attendance of over 6,000 people. Tickets can be purchased online on TCCβs website,Β www.ctgay.org. TheΒ $20 ticket price includes entry into all You Can Play Day activities at the Webster Bank Arena onΒ March 2, 2014Β including the Sound Tigers game.Β
TCC and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers are also seeking local companies and organizations interested in partnering as a sponsor of the event.
