Lyman Orchards’ Sunflower Maze Rescheduled to Saturday August 3, 2013

Rains and cool temperatures in June delay the opening of the Roller Coaster-themed Maze

and Connecticut Children’s Medical Center fundraiser by one week

Weather has delayed the opening of the Lyman Orchards’ Annual Sunflower Maze to Sat. Aug., 3, 2013.  Excessive rains and cooler-than-normal temperatures during the first two weeks of June slowed the growth of the sunflowers.  However, Mother Nature stepped in, and the recent heat spell has helped the sunflowers catch up.  Lyman officials expect an awesome display and challenging maze by opening day on Saturday, August 3rd.
