Middlefield Man Forged Document To Secure State Contract: Police

He was charged on a warrant.

MIDDLEFIELD, CT — A Middlefield man has been arrested following a forgery investigation at the Department of Motor Vehicles, State Police said. John H. Silvestri, 33, of Louis Road, was arrested by State Police detectives last week.

The Department of Motor Vehicles asked State Police detectives to assist in the investigation regarding an altered insurance document that was presented to the Commercial Safety Division to secure a state contract for snow plowing, State Police said.

An arrest warrant was issued for Silvestri and he is charged with second-degree forgery and released on a $500 bond.
