Middlefield Posts Town Budget Online
The budget, which carries a mill rate of 32.84, was finalized in May.

MIDDLEFIELD, CT — Local officials have posted the 2016-17 Town of Middlefield budget document online on the town's website.
Finalized in May, the 24-page budget came in a shade under $17 million and carries a mill rate of 32.84 mills. On an average assessed property of $165,350, the tax burden of 32.84 mills would translate to $5,430, according to the town.
Of that amount, $4,018 would go toward local education, and the remaining $1,412 would go to the town's operations and debt service. Middlefield is part of the Region 13 School District, which is shared with Durham.
