Middlefield Professor Wins Lifetime Achievement Award
William Hennessy recently received the Josephine M. Picone Lifetime Achievement Award from the CT Society of Radiologic Technologists.

From Quinnipiac University: William Hennessy of Middlefield, clinical professor of diagnostic imaging at Quinnipiac University, recently received the Josephine M. Picone Lifetime Achievement Award from the Connecticut Society of Radiologic Technologists.
The award is presented annually to an individual who has performed outstanding continuous service within the society for at least 20 years.
βI am extremely honored to be a recipient of this award,β Hennessy said. βIβve dedicated many years to my profession as a radiologic technologist and educator in the field. Iβve had the privilege to be elected as the Connecticut state societyβs president and served as its board chair and on its legislative committee. I did this on behalf of all radiologic technologists in the state of Connecticut.β

Hennessy, who joined the Quinnipiac faculty in 1994, earned his masterβs in health science from Quinnipiac. He earned his bachelorβs in health services from Montclair State University and his associateβs degree from Bergen Community College in New Jersey. Hennessy is also a senior board member for the Connecticut Society of Radiologic Technologists.
