Middlefield Removes Thousands Of Tires From Property: Report
The town is removing thousands of tires that accumulated on a Ross Road property.
MIDDLEFIELD, CT — The town of Middlefield will remove thousands of tires from a property following numerous complaints from residents, WTNH News-8 reported. The tires have become a source of contention on Ross Road.
The town ordered the owner to have the tires removed, but the owner said he could not afford to.
The town says the tires are a health and environmental hazard and must be removed. The owner will have to pay $80,000 the town will spend on removal.
