Middlefield Seeks Funding For Lake Beseck Drainage Work: Report
The grant is through the Small Town Economic Assistance Program.
MIDDLEFIELD, CT — Town officials are planning to apply for a $500,000 state grant to help fund drainage and road repair work related to culverts near Lake Beseck, reports the Meriden Record-Journal.
Middlefield unsuccessfully applied for the same grant through the Small Town Economic Assistance Program last year.
Town officials decided to apply again after the state informed eligible communities that the program is continuing, and that projects declined in the past could re-apply.
