Registration Now Open for Middletown Penguin Plunge to Benefit Special Olympics Connecticut
February 3, 2017- Special Olympics Connecticut presents the Middletown Penguin Plunge at Crystal Lake in Middletown, February 25, 2017. This annual fundraiser encourages communities to come together and take the plunge into icy waters to support its more than 13,000 athletes of all abilities who participate in sports training and competition year-round. All are invited to participate, including individuals, friends and families, and teams representing schools, businesses, organizations and clubs. Middletown: Saturday, February 25th, at Crystal Lake; 144 Prout Hill Road, Middletown, CT 06457. Registration 10 a.m.; Plunge 12 p.m.
Penguin Plunges provide a fun and festive atmosphere and also offer music, refreshments, awards and parades of plungers in costume to enjoy. To join in the fun, Penguins must be at least 8 years old and need to raise a minimum of $100. In addition to the awards for top fundraisers and best costume, Penguins receive incentive prizes for their fundraising efforts.
