Missing Connecticut Woman Killed In New Jersey Crash: Report
She was last seen in Connecticut on St. Patrick's Day.
PLAINFIELD, CT — Laura Russo, of Plainfield, was killed early Wednesday in a crash on Interstate 80 in Saddle Brook, NJ, close to a week after she had been reported missing, writes NBC Connecticut News.
According to New Jersey State Police, the vehicle Russo was driving was rear-ended by a tractor trailer truck in the left lane at about 2:30 a.m. No charges have been filed as a result of the crash, but it remains under investigation.
The 63-year-old Russo had been the subject of a Silver Alert from Connecticut authorities, after she was reported missing since St. Patrick's Day, March 17. The alert was canceled Wednesday following news of the crash, reports WFSB-TV.
