New Bus Stop Sign To Be Installed In Durham

The Board of Selectmen had received a request from the public.

DURHAM, CT — The Board of Selectmen have approved a new bus stop sign request. According to meeting minutes the bus stop sign will be installed in the area of 259 Higganum Road. Region 13, along with Dattco and the Resident State Trooper determined it to be appropriate.

L. Francis consulted with the State of CT Manual on Traffic Control Devices Section 7B.13 School Bus Stop Ahead Sign and noted that children at this stop are required to cross the road to get on the bus.

MOTION BY LAURA FRANCIS, SECONDED BY TOM HENNICK TO APPROVE THE REQUEST FOR A SCHOOL BUS STOP AHEAD SIGN WITH THE CONDITION THAT PUBLIC WORKS PUT THE SIGN UP IN ACCORDANCE TO THE STATE MUTCD.
