Obituary: Veronica Dorothy Mulawka, 97, of Middletown

Veronica Dorothy (Zukowski) Mulawka, 97, of Middletown, wife of the late Edward P. Mulawka, died Sunday September 24, 2017 at Wadsworth Glen Health Care. She was born in Moodus, daughter of the late John and Mary (Kopera) Zukowski. Veronica was employed at Goodyear Rubber Company, Hartford Precision and later at Waters’ Edge Health Care.

Veronica is survived by her son, Ted Mulawka and his wife Eileen of Middletown; daughter, Barbara Bessonett and her husband Henry of Middletown; sister, Helen Krywinski; two grandchildren, Kristie Erlacher and her husband Carl and Meagan Mulawka Davis and her husband Todd Davis; two great grandchildren, Nicholas and Jolie Erlacher; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Anna Dreaher and brother, Frank Zukowski.

Veronica’s family would like to give a special thank you to all the care givers at Wadsworth Glen Rehabilitation Center, especially Crystal, Carla, Dorothy and Peggy.

Her Funeral Liturgy will be held Wednesday (Sept. 27th) at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, Middletown. Burial will be in the State Veterans’ Cemetery, Middletown. Family and friends may gather prior to the service on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10 a.m. at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church.
