Super Smash Brothers Brawl League
The library’s SSBB League continues this October, meeting every Thursday from 4-5pm. Come compete and sharpen your skills. Ages 12-18, drop in, no registration.

Teen Lego Club
The first meeting of the library’s Lego Club for ages 12-18 will be on Tuesday, October 7th 7-8pm. Break into teams and see who can build the tallest free standing Lego tower. A different challenge every month. Drop in, no registration.

Teen Knitting Club
The Tween/Teen Knitting Club meets once a month on the 2nd Wednesday from 5:30-6:30pm. Come learn to knit or share your project with other knitters. Needles and yarn available for new knitters. Drop in, no registration.
Teen Advisory Group
Join the Library’s youth council! Young Adults ages 12-18 can earn community service by coming and discussing their ideas for the library. Suggest programs, decorate for holidays, and volunteer at library fundraisers. The October meeting will be Saturday the 11th 3-4pm. Drop in, no registration.
Hair Braids, Updos, Tips & Tricks
Come learn to style your hair (long or short) with different braids and updos. Also learn some tips and tricks for taking care of your hair and styling. Friday, October 17th 3:30-4:30pm. Ages 10-18, please register.
College Admissions & Testing Explained
Recent Yale graduate Brandon Wang’s presentation will focus on insider tips on college admissions and standardized testing, and will feature a Q&A session. Attendees will be granted a coupon for a free SAT class at the end of the presentation. Wednesday, October 22nd, 7-8pm. Students & parents, no registration needed.
Practice SAT Test
Take a practice SAT test in real test conditions. Test results will be returned the following week. Saturday, October 25th 12:00-3:00pm. Ages 14-18 (high school students) please register.
Teen Book Club
For October the TBC is reading Peeps by Scott Westerfeld - Cal Thompson is a carrier of a parasite that causes vampirism, and must hunt down all of the girlfriends he has unknowingly infected. Copies of the book available at the front desk. Book discussion and preview of November’s new books on Wednesday, October 29th 6-7pm. Drop in, no registration needed.
Zombification Special Effects Makeup Workshop
Using professional stage makeup and some very ordinary items, Caroline Wilcox will show you some special effects techniques that will completely transform you into a zombie character. We will be creating disfigurements like burns, wounds, scabs, bruises and more; get ready for the gore! Thursday, October 30th 6:30-8:00pm. Ages 12-18, please register.
