PD: Middlefield Man Arrested for Southington Walmart Robbery

The man allegedly pushed his way past a loss prevention worker who was confronting him.

A Middlefield man was arrested after he allegedly stole several clothing items and pushed his way past an employee at the Southington Walmart.

Police said the incident happened on July 6 around 2 p.m. A loss prevention worker at the store noticed Daniel Henderson, 50, taking clothes off of hangers and conceal them in a shopping bag, police said.

He went past points of sale without purchasing the items and pushed past a loss prevention employee when confronted, police said.

He dropped a bag of merchandise as he was fleeing the store.

The employee reported slight pain, but didn’t require medical attention.

The total amount of merchandise stolen was worth about $187.

Henderson was arrested July 28 and charged with sixth-degree larceny, second-degree breach of peace, third-degree robbery and third-degree assault.
