Police: Woman Arrested After Assaulting Trooper in Middlefield
Police reports for the week of July 23 - July 29.

Saturday, July 23
Chelse Prainito, 41, of Traverse City, Michigan, was arrested and charged with assault on an officer, disorderly conduct and reckless use of a highway by a pedestrian. Police were called to the area of Route 157 and 147 in Middlefield after receiving a complaint of an intoxicated individual at Peckham Park. Upon arrival, Trooper Larry Morello determined that Prainito fit the description of the suspect and was "extremely intoxicated." According to Trp. Morello, Prainito attempted to flee and before she was subdued kicked Morello. Prainito is also accused of spitting on the officer before she was taken away. No injuries were reported.
State police are investigating a motor vehicle break-in on Green Lane in Durham. According to police, a victim reported that a laptop, GPS device and an iPod had been stolen from a vehicle around 2:30 p.m. The value of the stolen merchandise exceeds $4,300, according to the victim. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 860-399-2100.

Tuesday, July 26
Brandon K. Dorsey, 20, of unknown address, was taken into custody by state police after a traffic stop on Route 81 in Killingworth. Dorsey, according to authorities, was wanted by Vernon Police on a first degree sexual assault charge.

Friday, July 29
Christopher M. Kaspern, 26, of 57 Laurel Ridge Trail, Killingworth, was arrested and charged with threatening and disorderly conduct. According to police, Kaspern was involved in an argument with his wife and allegedly made threats against her.
