Powder Ridge, Newfield Donuts Seek Special Exceptions from Middlefield P&Z

The commission will hold a public hearing on the two applications on July 27.

Middlefield, CT - Powder Ridge Mountain Park & Resort, LLC, and Newfield Donuts, LLC, are scheduled to appear at a public hearing July 27 before the Middlefield Planning and Zoning Commission with special exception applications.

The resort is looking to expand its use, and the doughnut shop wants to tear down a residential home and build a Dunkin Donuts at 144 Meriden Road.

Applicant/Owners: Newfield Donuts, LLC
Property Location: 144 Meriden Road
Proposed Activity: Application for Special Permit or Special Exception to demolish existing residential home and construct a 2,000 sf Dunkin Donuts restaurant with drive-thru, with associated paved parking, utilities and storm water management system.

The public hearing is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Middlefield Activity Center Meeting Room, 405 Main St.
