Public Presentation Scheduled of Middlefield Development Project

The presentation is hosted by the town's Economic Development Commission

MIDDLEFIELD, CT — The town's Economic Development Commission will hold a special meeting Tuesday, Aug. 30, during which the developers of the proposed Route 66 Corridor/Harvest Woods development will give a presentation of the project.

The public is invited to the meeting, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Room 3 of the Middlefield Community Center on Main Street.

According to minutes of a March 2015 Middlefield Economic Development Commission meeting, developers of the project have proposed a box store for the location, or an apartment complex of more than 100 units. The residential development was tentatively preferred by some residents at the time.
