Red Cross Helping Durham Family After Fire

A fire occurred at a home on Cedar Drive in Durham Tuesday, Feb. 3.

The American Red Cross is helping two adults with emergency housing, food and clothing needs after a fire yesterday on Cedar Drive in Durham. Red Cross volunteers Missy Lundeen and Andrew Curtis assisted the family.

The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a resident might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire, according to a press release from Red Cross Chief Communication Officer Paul D. Shipman.
