MIDDLEFIELD, CT β The Region 13 Board of Education approved a plan that would lead to the closing of John Lyman School, the Record-Journal's Lauren Takores reports. The proposal includes a reconfiguration as one school would house kindergarten through grade two and another school would be reserved for grades 3 through 5.
Declining enrollment, reduced state aid and potential savings are reasons for the planned school closing.
