Road Closure Due to Bridge Work Next Week in Middlefield
The Main Street - Route 147 bridge over the Lyman Meadow Brook in Middlefield will be closed during construction.

Middlefield, CT - Rehabilitation work on the bridge on Main Street - Route 147 over Lyman Meadow Brook in Middlefield will begin July 11 and run through July 28, according First Selectman Edward P. Bailey and the state Department of Transportation.
The construction work will require the closure of the road between Reed Gap Road and Miller Road.
"A full road closure of Route 147 at Lyman Meadow Brook will be implemented to complete the replacement of the existing bridge," wrote Bailey in a statement on the town's website.

Motorists traveling on Route 147 will be detoured via Route 17, Route 68 and Route 157 (Reeds Gap Road). Local residents going to or from the most southeast part of Town may want to use local roads to and from Cherry Hill Road.
