Rower to Take Talents to South Beach

Recent Miss Porter's School graduate Alexis Bowen, of Killingworth, has signed with University of Miami to join the school's Division I rowing team.

"Rowing is my passion and I am thrilled to be able to pursue it at the highest collegiate level possible. It's what I've always wanted. Being able to be a D-I athlete means so much to me and it's a commitment I feel privileged to be able to make," shares Alexis, a Porter's varsity crew team captain. "My coaches have done an amazing job of preparing me for the next level."

Porter's crew program includes varsity and junior varsity teams, which practice on the Farmington River, using a new boathouse and dock shared with Farmington High School.
