Scott Sadinsky Named New Principal of Strong School

Scott Sadinsky has been hired by Regional School District 13 to replace Scott Nicol as principal of Strong Middle School, Superintendent Susan Viccaro told Patch Wednesday.

Nicol resigned from the position last month after accepting a job with Hartford Public Schools.

Sadinsky, a Middletown native, is leaving his job as Assistant Principal at Captain Nathan Hale Middle School in Coventry, where he spent the past four years.

"He started a lot of student recognition programs in Coventry, that was really impressive," Viccaro said about the district's decision to hire Sadinsky. "He did a lot with helping raise test scores too."

Viccaro said Sadinsky will begin on Monday.

Region 13 is also in the process of hiring a new business manager, after Ron Melnick announced last week that he was leaving to take a job with Waterford schools.
