Showers and Thunderstorms Possible in Durham-Middlefield's Forecast

The back-to-work weather forecast calls for sunny weather on Monday and temps in the low- to mid-80s across Connecticut.

On Tuesday, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms for the entire state during the day. For New Haven, Middlesex, Fairfield County, and New London counties, showers and thunderstorms could begin after 9 a.m. The chance for stormy weather is about 30 to 50 percent, depending on where you live.

More storms are possible on Wednesday for all of Connecticut, beginning in the afternoon and continuing into the evening. Heavy rain may fall in some areas.

On Wednesday, a “Hazardous Weather Outlook” has already been issued for Fairfield County for after and evening showers and thunderstorms that could produce heavy rain and flash flooding, the National Weather Service writes.

• Wednesday Night: Scattered showers and thunderstorms before 1am, then a slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
• Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 81.
• Thursday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
• Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 83.
