State Police Release Names in Durham Murder-Suicide
Terry Oakes Bourret, Donald Bourret and one dog are dead from apparent gunshot wounds, state police said.

After receiving a 911 call Tuesday night, reporting two people dead in a Main Street home, state police from Troop F went to the Durham Home, where they found two people dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
The call came at 7:36 p.m. Tuesday, March 17. Troopers found a dog outside the 73 Main St. home, killed by a gunshot wound.
Upon entry into the house, a man and woman were pronounced dead on the scene, also from apparent gunshot wounds, Lt. J. Paul Vance said in a press release.

A firearm was found near the bodies, state police said. Detectives seized the firearm for evidence.

Troopers from Troop F, Durham Resident Trooper, and EMS responded to the scene. The scene was secured and State Police Major Crime Detectives responded to conduct the investigation.
State Police Detectives processed the crime scene, gathering physical and forensic evidence.
Preliminary findings of the State Police Detectives have determined that these two untimely deaths appear to be a murder/suicide involving a firearm.
The office of the Chief States Medical Examiner will conduct a post mortem examination of the two deceased to determine the manner and cause of both deaths.
This incident remains under investigation by State Police detectives.
