Stormy Weather Possible This Week in Durham, Middlefield

There are a couple of days where the National Weather Service predicts that showers and thunderstorms are possible.

The forecast for this upcoming work week has definitely improved over the past few days.

Initially, the National Weather Service was predicting a chance of showers and thunderstorms for everyday this week, but now the stormy weather seems contained primarily to just two days, Tuesday and Wednesday.

First, Monday’s weather looks great for most of the state. For Fairfield, New Haven, New London and Middlesex counties it will be mostly sunny with temps in the low to mid 80s.

However, for Hartford and Tolland counties there is a 30-percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Monday, July 13.

On Tuesday, it’s possible showers and thunderstorms could impact the whole state. For the southern half of Connecticut the stormy weather is forecast for any time after 10 a.m., except Middlesex and New London counties where storms are forecast after 2 p.m. The chance of storms is 40 percent.

On Wednesday, there is a 40 percent chance statewide of showers and thunderstorms.

Thursday and Friday’s weather looks great for the state with sunny skies both days and temps around 80-85 degrees..

The first glance at next weekend’s weather includes a chance of showers on Saturday and Sunday, but as we know with weather that forecast will likely change several times between now and then.
