Talking Trash in Durham
Some people have an awful lot to say about trash... are you one of them?

Post from Residents of the Town of Durham, CT:
Come Talk Trash at Perk on Main!
Everyone is invited to talk about trash at a Tuesday, Oct. 21 program at Perk on Main in Durham. The discussion will start at 7 p.m.

Katie Hughes, owner of Perk and a former member of DMIAAB, the local transfer station management board, has a lot to say on the subject of trash. For example, everything in her popular local restaurant can be re-used, recycled or composted. If a restaurant can do that, think what you can do at home!
The program will also include statistics and information about our transfer station. For example, how much do Middlefield and Durham residents recycle and how does that compare to other Connecticut towns? What do you need to know to use it more effectively?

Trash β everybody does it, but there are certainly things we can learn so that our impact on the resources of the planet is lighter and friendlier.
This Coginchaug Area Transition-sponsored program is free and open to all; refreshments provided. For further information, call Sue VanDerzee at 860-349-0777.
