Toilet Seat Tossing, Best Beard Contest, Wheelbarrow Racing: Durham Fair Announces Redneck Arena

For the first time ever, the Durham Fair Association’s Redneck Arena is open for business.

“The Durham Fair Redneck Games were created for teens and adults to have some zany, down-home fun,” the Durham Fair posted on Facebook. Read on for more info on the Redneck Arena.

Running Continuously from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday

• Giant Jenga
• The Game of Stump
• Toilet Seat Horseshoes
• Bowling Ball Shot Put
• Prizes: $25 to Artie’s Bar & Grill
• Best Beard Competition
• Prizes: $25 to Artie’s Bar & Grill

Friday’s Featured Events

• 3 p.m. Mud Pit Tug of War (teams of 5); Prize: Each team member gets $10 to Durham Wine and Spirits, $15 to the Durham Fair souvenir shop
• 5 p.m. Bobbing for Pigs Feet; Prize: $50 to Artie’s Bar & Grill

Saturday’s Featured Events

• 12:30 p.m.: Mud Pit Belly Flop Contest; Prize: $50 to Time Out Tavern, drink-dispensing football helmet
• 3:30 p.m. Hot Wings Eating Contest; Prize: 16 wings a week for a full year at Matty’s Next Door in Middletown

Sunday’s Featured Events

• 12:30 p.m.: Backseat Driver Contest; Prize: $20 to Durham Wine and Spirits, drink-dispensing helmet with attached megaphone
