Town of Durham Launches Fraud Alert tool to Notify Property Owners of New Transactions
The Durham Town Clerk is providing a new tool to help property owners protect one of their most valuable assets, their home.

With Fraud Alert, you can sign up to receive alerts whenever a document, such as a deed or mortgage, is recorded under your name. Documents can be viewed online at https://www.searchiqs.com/ctdur/Login.aspx or in the Town Clerkβs Office.
βIβve had more citizens contact me this past year with concerns about documents being filed on the Durham Land Records without their knowledge.Β This is one tool to assist homeowners in protecting their biggest asset.Β I am very pleased our land records vendor, IQS, is now offering this free service to our residents,β said Town Clerk Kim.
