The Durham Board of Selectmen and the Durham Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion committee strongly condemns the hate crime that was discovered on Sunday, July 25th at White’s Farm. The racism, homophobia, and anti-Semitism displayed by this hateful graffiti have no place in our community.

“Tolerance implies no lack of commitment to one's own beliefs. Rather it condemns the oppression or persecution of others.” -President John F. Kennedy.

We are committed to working with the community to keep Durham an inclusive and welcoming town for everyone, and it is vital that all of us work to promote acceptance and combat all hatred wherever we see it in our town.

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that." -Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

We encourage anyone with information regarding this incident to contact Troop F of the CT State Police at (860) 399-2100.
