Town Of Durham Releases Grocery Store Survey Results

The town recently surveyed residents on interest in adding a grocery store in town.

DURHAM, CT — The Town of Durham has released the results of a recent survey about adding a grocery store in town. The survey found that a majority of respondents would like to see a grocery store similar in size to Robert's in Madison.

The respondents' preferred location for the store is at the north end of Main Street. An "overwhelming majority" were in favor of traffic work to be done.

The town's Economic Development Commission will continue to move forward working with other boards and commissions.
