Road Restoration in Durham June 23, 2022 Update Eversource Gas Line and EPA Water Line Project (Maiden Lane, Maple Ave, and Talcott Lane)

Eversource is working with EPA and CTDEEP to perform the road repairs for both the gas line and water line projects. Laydon Industries, a contractor working for Eversource, will be performing the work. The pavement overlay on Maiden Lane, Talcott Lane and Maple Ave was completed June 21, 2022. The installation of curbing was completed on June 23, 2022.
The work to be performed starting June 23, 2022 includes:

o New driveway aprons to match the new pavement height. The work began on Maple Ave on June 23, 2022. A 6 ft apron will be installed for the driveways along the new pavement. This work will continue into the week of June 27, 2022.
o New striping on Maple Ave, Talcott Lane and Maiden Lane. o Placing topsoil along Maple Ave, Talcott Lane, and Maiden Lane to match the new pavement height.
Later this summer, additional work will be performed that will include:
o Paving a short section of Packinghouse Road.
o Milling and paving Talcott Ridge Drive and portions of Watch Hill Drive in Middletown.
o Repair of damaged curbing along Talcott Ridge Drive and Watch Hill Drive in Middletown.
