BESECK BEACH IS REOPENED AFTER TESTING
Our most recent E.Coli bacteria tests are within a safe range which will allow us to reopen the facility today.
The threshold of E. coli acceptable for a single sample from a swimming area is less than or equal to 235 per 100 milliliters, according to guidelines from the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) and Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (DEEP).
The most recent Results for the Beseck Swim area are; Left beach 75, mid beach 65, right beach 20. Our results are great and are significantly below the acceptable level.
