Town Of Middlefield: RSD 13: Warning Of Special District Meeting 12/1/2021

The electors and citizens qualified to vote in town meetings of the Towns of Durham and Middlefield, Connecticut, are hereby warned and notified that a Special District Meeting will be held at the Coginchaug Regional High School Auditorium, 135 Pickett Lane, Durham, Connecticut, on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. for the following purposes:

ITEM 1. To choose a moderator for said meeting.

ITEM 2. To approve the conveyance to the Town of Durham of a portion of the District property measuring approximately 7.24 acres on which is located the building commonly known as the Francis E. Korn Elementary School (the “Korn School Property”); to approve the Memorandum of Understanding between Regional School District 13 and the Town of Durham for the conveyance of the Korn School Property (the “Memorandum of Understanding”); and to authorize the Superintendent and the Chairperson of the Board of Education of Regional School District 13 to take all actions necessary or convenient to complete the conveyance of the Korn School Property to the Town of Durham, including the execution of a purchase and sale agreement or similar agreement.

A copy of the Memorandum of Understanding between Regional School District 13 and the Town of Durham is on file and available for inspection at the District’s offices located at 135A Pickett Lane in Durham, Connecticut and on the District’s website at www.rsd13ct.org.
