Wild Weather Forecast for Durham, Middlefield

Pack your umbrella for Tuesday, Oct. 7, through Wednesday, Oct. 8.

For those planning on going outside to look at the blood moon lunar eclipse, you’re going to want to bring your umbrella. The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for the area.

  • Tuesday Night: Showers and thunderstorms, mainly after midnight. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Low around 60. South wind 8 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
  • Wednesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 9 a.m. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 76. West wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
  • Wednesday Night: Clear, with a low around 44. West wind 6 to 10 mph.
  • Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 65. Light southwest wind becoming west 6 to 11 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph.
