Mitchell Brown of Durham, a junior at , was presented with the cross-country team's Most Improved Runner award during the school's Fall Sports Awards program Thursday night. Andrew Gonzales of Durham, a senior at Xavier, earned Defensive MVP Award for the school's soccer team. "I am most proud of all our teams for how you represented yourselves and Xavier as you competed in your sports.  Winning is great, but just as important as your athletic skills, is the kind of young men you all are, being a person of integrity who can play the game with sportsmanship and politeness," Headmaster Brother Brian Davis said during the awards ceremony held at Kohs Gymnasium. The school's football team, which won it's second straight state title this season, will present awards at a team banquet at a later date.
