• Man Accused of Striking CT Firefighter in Hit-and-Run Crash (fireengineering.com) — An East Hampton firefighter injured in a September hit-and-run now has some closure, as police have arrested the 32-year-old driver they say sped through a closed crash scene and struck him. Investigators used license plate recognition and other tools to identify the suspect, who faces multiple charges and was held on a $30,000 bond in Middlesex Superior Court.
