No one can tell you more about how the Hamptons got to be the way we are than Steven Gaines, co-founder of the Hamptons Film Festival and best-selling author of Philistines at the Hedgerow, the guidebook of the modern Hamptons' social scene.
Gaines was a contributing editor at New York Magazine and his journalism has appeared in Vanity Fair, the New York Observer, the New York Times, Los Angeles, Worth, and Connoisseur. For years he hosted a weekly radio show, "Sunday Brunch at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor."
He is a reporter, biographer and was a central character of the pop music and Studio 54 music scene in the 60's, 70's and 80's.
Join us for a fascinating talk and entertaining stories of our culture on July 12 at 6 pm at the Amagansett Library.
