Body Found In CT River In Portland; Police Investigate
A body was found in the Connecticut River on Wednesday, according to police.
PORTLAND, CT — Police have opened an investigation after a body was found in the Connecticut River on Wednesday.
Portland first responders were dispatched at about 7 p.m. to the river on a report of a body floating in the area of Riverside Street near the marinas.
Authorities recovered a body. Police said they are working on identifying the body and making appropriate notifications.
