East Hampton Residents Elected to Middlesex United Way Board of Directors

Two East Hampton residents, Kevin M. Reich and Megan Slater, were recently elected to the Middlesex United Way Board of Directors.

Two East Hampton residents, Kevin M. Reich and Megan Slater, were recently elected to the Middlesex United Way Board of Directors at the organizations’ annual meeting.

Reich is retired Assistant Superintendent of East Hampton Schools. Before serving as Assistant Superintendent, he served as Director of Curriculum and Administrative Services for 23 years and Business Manager for one year. He was also an elementary education teacher for 11 years. Reich is a member of East Hampton Rotary, serves on the Finance Board for St. Patrick Church in East Hampton, co-chairs the Flags over East Hampton Committee, and is vice chairperson of the East Hampton Town Council. He is past chair of the East Hampton Cemetery Board. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Administration from Central Connecticut State University. He also earned a Sixth Year Diploma in Educational Administration from UConn. Reich has an 18-year-old son, Matthew.

Slater is Executive Assistant at Wright-Pierce in Middletown. She has 10 years of experience in marketing and administrative support at the Northeast water, wastewater, and civil engineering firm. Slater is chair of the Middlesex United Way Young Leaders Society, of which she is a founding member. She has served on the Young Leaders Society Steering Committee since 2011 and served as Vice Chair in 2014. She also serves as chairperson of the Connecticut Section of the American Water Works Association Water for People Fundraising Committee, and she is a Troop Leader & Service Unit Cookie Manager with the Girl Scouts of Connecticut. Slater holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She lives in East Hampton with her husband, Scott, and daughter, Moira, 11.
