East Hampton Woman Killed in Middletown Fire

The Feb. 28 fire claimed the lives of an East Hampton woman and Middletown woman.

The names of two women who died after a Feb. 28 fire destroyed a home in Middletown have been released — Kim Crowley of East Hampton and Cheryl Micale of Middletown, NBC 30 reported.

Crowley was 44-years-old. Micale was 36-years-old.

The fire broke out in the early morning hours at a home on Barbara Lane. Micale’s husband was able to get outside and their child was spending the night at a friend’s house and was not home at the time of the fire.

An unnamed man is still in the hospital recovering, according to NBC 30.

A GoFundMe fundraiser for the Micale family was created on March 1 and has raised $15,859 for the family.
