Portland Nursing Home Fined for Lapses in Care
The facility was one of five in Connecticut fined at least $1,000 for substandard care.

A Portland nursing home has been fined in connection with substandard care to a resident, according to a report from the Connecticut Health I-Team (C-HIT).
Portland Care & Rehabilitation Center, at 333 Main Street, was fined $1,020 by the Connecticut Department of Public Health for failing to properly document a severe injury to a patient’s heel, C-HIT said.
PCRC was one of five nursing homes to be cited for recent violations by the DPH. The others are in Cheshire, Cromwell, Mystic and Granby.
