The Marlborough Arts Center at 231 North Main Street in
Marlborough, CT is opening its Gift Shop and Art Gallery on Saturday, May 10,
the day before Mother's Day, from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., especially for those who would like to buy a
special, unique gift for the mothers in their lives. The Art Gallery is
showing works by renown artists Jim
Grabowski, Audrey Carroll-Prucnal, and Bob Desaulnier available for sale. Items
in the Gift Shop are created by one of their regional artists and so is literally
one-of-a-kind, presenting an opportunity
to choose from jewelry by Kristee Foss and April Quast; knitted, felted, and
hand-loomed apparel and home decor by Marilyn Ulion, Kristen Walsh, and Rita
Reimer; ceramic pottery by Arline Edmunds and Lynn Quinn; hand-carved wooden bowls and objects by Albert
d'Antonio; note cards by Barbara Sherman; fused glass and other decorations
that will not fade, and items too numerous to mention. Prices start at less
than $10 for gifts that will be remembered and cherished for years to come.
