Red Cross Shelter Volunteer Training Taking Place in Waterford
The training will occur in September.

“Ever wished there was something you could do to help after a blizzard, hurricane or other disaster? Here is your chance,” East Lyme Public Safety posted via Facebook.
The American Red Cross is sponsoring a one-day shelter training to teach new volunteers the basic skills needed to assist in an emergency shelter during a disaster.
Those who attend will learn the processes for opening, operating and closing a shelter during a hurricane, flood, ice storm or other emergency. Upon completion of the training, participants will be a registered Red Cross shelter volunteer.
