You already know there are plenty of opportunities to shop locally this Christmas, but do you know your local Etsy dealers?

 

Many businesses in East Hampton and Portland took part in Small Business Saturday recently, an event aimed at getting consumers to shop locally and support small businesses But did you know you could shop even smaller than your local stores right here in town? Etsy showcases handmade items from all over the world, including several shops based out of East Hampton and Portland homes.

According to its website, "Etsy is the world's handmade marketplace. Our mission is to empower people to change the way the global economy works.

On Etsy you can find shop owners by location here. In East Hampton and Portland there are several Etsy dealers with hundreds of items for sale. Throughout Connecticut there are 85,660 items listed for sale on the website.
