After Recount, East Haven State Rep. James Albis Finally Wins
The incumbent is retaining his post.
EAST HAVEN, CT — Incumbent state Rep. James Albis (D-99th) will retain his East Haven post, after defeating Republican opponent "Big" Steve Tracy following a recount from last week's election, reports the New Haven Register.
The winning margin was nine votes. Last week, Albis held a 14-vote lead, which was enough to trigger the automatic recount.
About 10,000 residents voted in the state representative election, more than 3,000 more than two years ago, according to the publication.
