An Alert East Haven Police Officer Leads to a Narcotics Bust
The alleged incident occurred at the intersection of Guilford Court and Sidney Extension on Sunday.

Failing to come to a complete stop and an alert East Haven police officer led to a narcotics bust on Sunday at the intersection of Guilford Court and Sidney Extension.
According to East Haven Police Lt. David Emerman the incident began with a motor vehicle stop, based on the driver not stopping completely for a stop sign.
“Multiple motor vehicle charges resulted as the vehicle was bearing a plate that did not belong, and the vehicle was unregistered. The driver provided a driver’s license that was not his, hence the criminal impersonation charge.

The officer, (Gregory Borer), who conducted the stop noticed the driver was very nervous, money was spread out in the front compartment of the vehicle, and he then noticed in plain view a sandwich baggie containing what appeared to be narcotics.
The driver and passenger were (allegedly) in possession of narcotics, narcotics paraphernalia, and the narcotics were packaged for street sales … Also, the female passenger had a failure to appear warrant for her arrest,” Emerman said.
