EAST HAVEN, CT — So there's no mystery on what's what, East Haven police shared a graphic about e-bikes and motor-driven cycles and the laws governing their use.
"As e-bikes and motor-driven cycles continue to grow in popularity," police said, "it is important that riders and parents understand the laws designed to keep everyone safe."
"Parents play a critical role in making sure young riders understand where they can ride, helmet requirements, speed restrictions, and the responsibility that comes with operating these vehicles," police noted. "A quick conversation today can prevent a tragedy tomorrow."
In a post to Facebook, the East Haven Police Department encourages "all families to take a few minutes to review the information below together and help us keep East Haven safe for everyone on our roads, sidewalks, and trails."
