• Police, Mayor Welcome Kids, Staff Back To School, Remind Drivers to 'Slow Down, Look Out For Kids, Buses' (patch.com) — As East Haven students and staff return to school, the mayor and local police are urging drivers to slow down and stay alert near buses, bus stops, and crosswalks. School resource officers say they're excited to see students back and emphasize making this a safe, successful year for the entire East Haven school community.
   

• The PATH Back, Part 3: A Ghostly Discovery (railwayage.com) — A PATH train car that survived 9/11 now resides at East Haven's Shore Line Trolley Museum, where visitors can step inside and see it much as it was that morning. The story traces how engineers discovered the buried cars beneath Ground Zero, fought to preserve them, and ultimately brought one to Connecticut as a powerful, walk-through memorial.
   

• Dump truck vs. motorcycle crash in East Hampton causes serious injuries (fox61.com) — A serious crash between a dump truck and motorcycle in East Hampton left two motorcycle riders badly hurt, with LIFE STAR flying them to Hartford Hospital. East Haven police are cited saying both occupants suffered serious injuries as investigators reconstruct what happened. Anyone who saw the crash is asked to contact East Hampton police as the case develops.
