East Haven youth football and cheer will be doing in-person sign ups at opening day of East Haven Little League. Our cheer program welcomes all children grades k through 8. We also offer flag football for grades K through 2nd and tackle football for grades 3rd to 8th. Take advantage of our early bird pricing for 2026 before May 1st. Payment plans are available. No financial situation will ever be turned away

The Spring Shower of Quilts XX will include a judged quilt exhibit, quilt display, challenge quilts, raffle baskets, vendors, the raffle quilt and a homemade marketplace.&nbsp; Admission to the show is $15 and&nbsp;includes free parking and our tearoom.&nbsp;&nbsp;The quilt show will run from April 17 10:00-5:00 thru April 18 10:00-4:00.&nbsp; The venue is St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, 480 Racebrook Rd, Orange, CT.&nbsp; The winner of the raffle quilt depicting the 250th anniversary&nbsp;of the US will be declared as the show closes.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Growing up with a bipolar father and a schizophrenic brother left Aaron Foster with a combination of survivor’s guilt, depression and anxiety that has invalidated his every accomplishment, destroyed his every relationship and invaded his every waking thought. A comedy!Foster is performing three shows in the area: Thursday, 4/16 in New London at the Hygienic, Friday in W. Hartford at the Elbow Room and Friday in New Haven at Lyric Hall. www.MostlyJokes.com

Foster is the former host of HGTV’s FreeStyle who turned to stand up to manage his depression and anxiety. He has performed at clubs all over the West Coast and has been touring this show for the past year. Some of his main influences are Mike Birbiglia, Maria Bamford, Gary Gulman, Marc Maron, Taylor Tomlinson and Neal Brennan. Do with that information what you will.

<h3> Guest Motorman Experience – 2026 Session Dates</h3>
The Guest Motorman Experience is offered on select dates throughout the year, with operating sessions scheduled across five designated program days.
Each session provides a private, one-hour supervised operating experience on our historic railway line. Equipment assignments vary by date and may include:
<ul><li>Historic streetcars (trolley cars)</li><li>Rapid transit (subway) cars</li><li>Elevated railway (“El”) cars</li><li>Interurban electric railway cars</li><li>Historic work equipment</li></ul>
Specific cars are scheduled in advance but may be subject to operational or maintenance considerations.
All sessions are conducted under the supervision of qualified museum operating personnel and provide hands-on experience operating preserved electric railway equipment on the oldest continuously operating suburban trolley line in the United States.
Please review individual dates for availability and reserve your preferred session in advance, as space is limited.
