Dog Recovering After Falling From Car, Having Leg Amputated: East Haven Animal Shelter
East Haven Animal Shelter said a dog is recovering after falling from a car and needing to have his leg amputated due to his injuries.

EAST HAVEN, CT - East Haven Animal Shelter said a dog is recovering after falling from a car and needing to have his leg amputated due to his injuries. A post on the shelter's Facebook page Tuesday said employees are not sure if the animal was thrown out of the car or if he jumped out the window.
The dog, whom the shelter has since named "Danny," has been recovering since his surgery Tuesday night and is currently "doing well, and is as sweet as can be," according to a Facebook post written Wednesday.
"Danny will need some time to get well," the post said, "but once he is ready for a new home we will let you know."
