East Haven Police Department working with the Connecticut State Police arrested Jason Mahon, 37, of Venice Place, East Haven for numerous charges including second-degree criminal attempt at sexual assault, enticing a minor, risk of injury to a minor and drug charges.Police were notified by the state Department of Children and Families that a 14 year-old female juvenile had received text messages from Mahon allegedly soliciting sexual intercourse, police said. A meeting was arranged with Mahon to meet with who he believed was to be the juvenile to whom he had been sending text messages, police said. Mahon came to the planned meeting area and was arrested by police. Mahon was released on bond and has a court date of May 20 at New Haven Superior Court.
